Instructions for acrylic modelling with nail tips
1. first carefully remove the cuticle with the cuticle tool. Then use the rosewood stick to carefully push back the cuticle so that you can continue working on the nail. For protruding cuticles, you can use cuticle nippers, for example. If the natural nail is too long, you should shorten it so that you can stick the tip on properly later.
2. now file the natural nail into shape and then gently matt the nail with the sanding block. This removes the greasy layer. Be careful and do not file the nail too much. The nail should no longer shine. Pay particular attention to this with new sanding blocks or files!
3. now take your tip box and select the appropriate tip that fits the processed natural nail. Make sure the tip is not too small. It is better to file a tip narrower than to choose a tip that is too small and does not fit properly. Try it out beforehand without glue and then decide.
4 Now comes one of the most important steps in modelling artificial nails. Gluing on the tip!
The tips have a small contact surface, which you apply a thin layer of tip glue to. Take care not to touch the cuticle with the tip adhesive. Then apply to the nail immediately. When doing so, press the edge of the tip against the nail and press it carefully from front to back so that no tension builds up. Important! No air bubbles should form under the tip. If this does happen, use the tip remover to remove the tip from the natural nail.
5. after you have applied the corresponding tips to all the nails, trim the tips to the desired length using the tip cutter. Then file the transitions so that they blend seamlessly into the natural nail. Leave out the natural nail and do not file it. The artificial nail is now also matted and then the filing dust is thoroughly removed.
6. now apply the primer to the area of the natural nail and allow the primer to air dry for approx. 30 seconds. Do not apply the primer to the tip!
7. now prepare the Dappen Dish glass by filling it with the liquid.
Attention! The liquid must always be clear, otherwise the nails may become cloudy.
8. now dip your brush into the Dappen Dish glass and then wipe it lightly. Dip the brush into the acrylic powder until a small bead has formed on the tip of the brush. When the bead is shiny, it is ready for application. Spread it carefully over the nail surface and do not work into the nail edges, otherwise the acrylic may lift more quickly. Repeat the process (usually 3-5 times) until you have worked the entire nail. Then leave the whole thing to harden for a few minutes.
9. now you have almost done it. Smooth out any minor unevenness with a file and file everything into shape. Then polish the modelling with the polishing block, starting with the coarsest side and then getting finer and finer.
10) Basically, you are now finished. We still recommend applying a protective layer to extend the durability. Our Sunblock (yellowing protection) or our Top Coat, for example, are well suited for this. Before applying, make sure that the nails are free of filing dust.
11 Finally, you can use some nail oil. Apply it to the cuticles and massage it in slowly. If desired, apply some hand cream to your hands or the client's hands to make everything soft and supple. This will round off the nail modelling and give you a wonderful overall result!
