Before you start your first nail modeling, you should set up your workstation so that you have all the utensils to hand. Make sure that your workstation is adequately lit, possibly with an additional work light. UV light curing device, UV gels, files, buffers, tissue paper, tip box, tip glue, cutter, brush, cleaner, dust brush, nail oil and possibly all nail art products such as stamp set, glitter powder, rhinestones, etc. should be ready.

Instructions for new modeling

1. Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them well before starting. Remove nail polish from nails if necessary.
2. Carefully loosen cuticles with a spatula or rosewood stick (wide side, not the tip) and push back.
3. Shorten fingernails with a file and file into an oval shape (natural nail should be shortened so that max. 2mm protrudes).
4. Carefully roughen the natural nail with the file or buffer until there is no more shine on the nail. Remove all dust from the nail with a nail brush or dust brush. Please make sure that you do not touch the roughened nail with your bare fingers.
5. Determine tip size. Please ensure that the tip notch fits exactly on the natural nail. The tips should line up exactly with the sides of the nail. It is better to use a larger tip and file it a little narrower on the sides than a tip that is too small.
6. Now stick the tip on with the tip glue. Apply tip glue to the tip notch.
7. Note: Then hold the tip downwards so that the tip glue does not run over the entire tip or onto your fingers. The tip must now be placed with the notch on the fingernail so that the notch lines up directly with the natural nail. Make sure that no air bubbles form under the tip adhesive surface. If this happens, please carefully file the tip off again. (possibly use a tip remover)
8. Determine the length of the nails and use the cutter to shorten the tips and file them into the desired shape.
9. Carefully file and roughen the tip until it no longer shines. File the transition between the tip and the natural nail until it is no longer visible. Then remove all dust from the nail with a nail brush or dust brush. Here too, please make sure that you no longer touch the roughened nail with your fingers.
10. The next step is to use the primer. Please apply primer sparingly to the natural nail and allow it to dry briefly. Please make sure that the primer does not come into contact with the cuticle.
11. Now apply the first layer (use UV adhesive gel or UV 1-phase gel)
12. Apply a thin layer of UV base gel or 1-phase gel to the entire nail using a gel brush. Make sure that nothing runs onto the edge of the nail. If gel does run onto the edge of the nail, carefully remove the gel from the edge using a rosewood stick (pointed side). For beginners, it is a good idea to only apply gel to one finger at a time and then cure it briefly in the UV/LED light curing device and then repeat finger by finger. When all fingers are finished, please cure completely for 2 minutes. Now repeat the second hand step by step. Important: Do not remove the sweat layer! For French tips, please read the instructions for "French nails"
13. After curing, the second layer of UV builder gel or 1-phase gel is applied. Use the gel brush to put a small amount directly in the middle of the nail and spread it without applying pressure with the gel brush so that you achieve a nicely curved nail shape. The highest point should be in the middle of the nail. Please make sure that nothing runs into the edge of the nail. Here, too, it is a good idea for beginners to only apply gel to one finger at a time and then cure it briefly in the LED/UV light curing device and then repeat finger by finger. When all fingers have been cured, are finished, please allow 1 to 2 minutes for it to harden completely.
14. Now carefully remove the sweat layer! Now moisten a piece of tissue with cleaner and carefully wipe off the sweat layer that has formed so that there are no more sticky spots. Now repeat the second hand step by step.
15. Now file the nail plate with the file (fine-grained side) and correct all unevenness so that the desired nail shape is created. Then use the buffer to mattify the nail and remove any filing marks. The nail should no longer be shiny.
16. For the third and final layer, apply the sealing gel. Apply the sealing gel thinly from the edge of the nail bed to the tip of the nail. Please make sure that nothing runs into the edge of the nail. Here too, it is recommended for beginners to work on each finger individually. Then harden all fingers for 2 minutes.
17. Here too, a sweaty layer forms, which should also be carefully removed.
18. Now check the sides of the nails for any gel residue and carefully file it away if necessary.
19. Apply some nail oil to the cuticle and massage it in.

Instructions for French nail tips
Apply a thin layer of the selected French or color gel to the nail tip (it does not have to be opaque yet) and harden it for 15 - 20 seconds. Now apply the second French or color layer to create a beautiful white or colored French tip. Please do not remove the sweat layer but continue working from Step 14.

Natural nail reinforcement
If you don't want to lengthen your fingernails (without nail tips) but just strengthen them, then steps 5-8 are not necessary. All other steps are carried out as described.

Filling the nail modeling
When filling the gel nails, the transition of the fully grown gel nail must first be filed flat and any lifting removed, then carefully file off all color, French or pattern and then continue working from step 9.

Notes
UV gels must always be cured in a UV light curing device. Between the different work steps, always make sure that the gel pots are not directly next to the light curing device, otherwise they will harden in the pot. Make sure that no sunlight shines into the rooms or on the workplace. Furthermore, you should not work outdoors.
